Perry Jowsey, Executive Director
Perry Jowsey holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Communication from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he is proud to be a first-generation college graduate. As a Doctoral student with the Department of Communication, Perry taught a wide variety of classes on promotional writing, public speaking, and interpersonal communication.
He transitioned into the nonprofit world, where he has helped lead 3 different organizations past the $1 Million milestone budget and also worked for 2 leading national organizations. He’s also proud to have helped start a nonprofit agency dedicated to helping people with disabilities, where he served as the inaugural Board Chair and helped lead the organization for 4 years.
In his free time, Perry enjoys as many activities as possible with his 10-year-old son Trenton, as well as coaching youth baseball and basketball, golfing, crossword puzzles, and gardening with his 4 backyard chickens.

Anna Cheshire, Program Manager
Anna graduated from the University of Tulsa in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in anthropology and minors in Biological Sciences, Education, and History. While pursuing her degree, Anna worked on programming at a variety of museums and other non-profits which led to her discovery of her passion for working directly with people to deliver educational and social experiences that enrich their well-being.
After college, Anna worked on property management, adoption, and snow sports to gain communication and administrative skills before accepting the position as the Program Manager for the Colorado Chapter of NBDF.
Anna is looking forward to giving back to and building up a community she is passionate about and connected to directly by her own experience with Hemophilia B. In her free time, Anna tries to spend as much time as possible outdoors by playing recreational sports, hiking, gardening, and more.

Chapter Advisory Board
Our board represents a cross-section of our community and is an advocate for the bleeding disorders community. The members work hard to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization so that the funds raised directly affect results.

Jalpa Sheth, Chair
Jalpa Sheth has been part of the Colorado Bleeding Disorders community since 2015 when her son, Soren, was diagnosed with severe Hemophilia A. Over the years, Jalpa has been involved with various aspects of NHF Colorado including the Parents Empowering Parents Program, Education Days, Family Camp, and has been recognized as the #1 NHFCO Walk Team Lead 4 years in a row.
Jalpa’s professional life includes her role as an account director for a national telehealth company and working with health plan clients to increase access to healthcare. She serves on her company’s Diversity and Inclusion committee as this is an important aspect and initiative both in her personal and professional life.
Jalpa originally hails from Houston, receiving her undergraduate and graduate degrees from two Texas institutions (BS, University of Texas in Austin; MHA & MBA, University of Houston) – and proudly asserts “I will always be a Texan at heart! In her free time Jalpa enjoys spending time with Tim (husband) and Soren doing all things Coloradans do - outdoor activities, such as skiing, hiking, and rafting. She also takes pleasure in cooking (and eating!), experimenting in the kitchen with any and all cuisines, and LOVES to travel all over the US and internationally. -
Mitch Fish, Vice Chair
Mitch Fish has been a part of the Colorado bleeding disorder community since his young adult son was born with mild Hemophilia A. His college-age daughter is also a carrier of the disorder.
Mitch brings almost 30 years of leading teams and a wide range of technology-based skills to the board. Mitch has been active with Education Days, summer camp, as well as Backpacks and Bleeders and other outdoors programs. He is a vocal advocate for fair insurance practices surrounding chronic illnesses. Before serving as Vice Chair, he previously served as Board Secretary for two years.
Mitch Fish is a father of three and has been married to his wife Chelle for 24 years and lives in Highlands Ranch. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver in 2002. He is an avid runner, guitar player, and holds a private pilot’s license with an instrument rating. -
Salome Aguilar, Secretary
Salome Aguilar serves the Colorado Chapter on the executive committee as the board’s Secretary. In 2018, Salome was inspired to join our Colorado bleeding disorder community due to her nephew’s diagnosis. Salome has her Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross in Economics with a minor in German and Studio Art, and her Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from the University of Colorado. Furthermore, she is certified in Change Management and has worked on numerous system revamping projects. Currently, she works at Denver Water as a Training Coordinator, specializing in adult learning and positive customer experiences. Her passion lies in connecting all members of the bleeding disorder community to resources and education through programming and outreach.

Briana Reinking, Treasurer
Briana Reinking is a mom to two boys with hemophilia and has been involved with the Chapter throughout their lives. She has been Chair of the Advocacy Committee since 2015 and is excited to serve on the Board to learn and contribute more to the bleeding disorders community. She loves traveling and spending time outdoors with her family including hiking, biking, and camping.
Briana graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She currently holds a role as Vice President of Government Programs for a financial technology company, specializing in housing data and analytics.

Kim Schoenbachler Nicks, Board Member
Kim Schoenbachler Nicks and her husband, Dennis have lived in Longmont, Colorado for 20+ years. Kim grew up with hemophilia A and saw how it impacted her family, primarily her father’s health and mobility. When her son, Jaiden, was born in 2004, Dennis and her became actively involved in the hemophilia community here in Colorado. Alyssa was born in 2006 and is a carrier of hemophilia A. Over the years, Kim has had a lot of experience navigating the complexities involving management and care for someone with a bleeding disorder. She has experience working with school administrators and teachers, youth organizations and of course, health care systems. In September 2017, Kim and Dennis were both trained in the PEP (Parents Empowering Parents) program to be parent facilitators.
Over the years, Kim has had many unique opportunities in both her personal and professional career. She has worked in multiple industries ranging from telecommunication with British Telecom in London, salmon fisheries in Alaska, University of Alaska Statewide services work, newspaper industry and consulting work. She currently is following her passion for fitness and wellness. She works as a group fitness and yoga instructor, serving the senior population and those with limited mobility. She is also committed to volunteering for other youth organizations and local community programs. Being an adventurous family, they spend many weekends enjoying the outdoors year round with camping, hiking, biking and especially skiing!

Angela Blue, MBA, Board Member
Angie is the HTC Program Director at the University of Colorado Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center (HTC). Prior to joining the CU HTC in the fall of 2017, she was the HTC Program Manager at Children’s Hospital of Minnesota and before that, the Hemophilia Pharmacy Coordinator at the University of Minnesota. Angie has been involved in planning and coordinating a wide variety of community education events and fundraisers since she first started working in the bleeding disorders field in 2002. In addition, she has been actively involved in education and advocacy for bleeding disorders for several years.
Angie has a B.A. degree in Communications and Music from the University of Minnesota and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management from Concordia University in Saint Paul.
In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, playing the piano, singing, golfing, and attending all of the wonderful live outdoor concerts that Colorado has to offer. -
Joseph Mah, Board Member
Joseph Mah is a Colorado native who lives with severe hemophilia A. He is involved with the bleeding disorders community in a large variety of ways, both locally and nationally. He is a member of NYLI, NHF’s youth leadership program, which has provided many opportunities to learn and practice advocacy and education, as well as meet like-minded bleeders from around the country. He is also a student researcher with the Colorado HTC, investigating the use of inexpensive wearable sensors to analyze the gait of those with bleeding disorders.
